Benigno, Darcie - E-mail: benigno@1stconnect.com

¡Hola! ¿Cómo estaís todos? After returning from Sri Lanka, I studied my two passions up in Humboldt: Spanish and Violin Little did I know that they were my passions in High School, but since then, I have developed them through the years. Currently, I am Spanish teacher at Corona del Mar High School in Newport Beach, Ca. I have drug (dragged?) my two little boys (Dylan, 12 yrs and Colin 10 yrs) all over the world with me while working on my Master's in Spanish Literature. Dylan and Colin are awesome (yes, a typical mother, but really they are awesome!), and as we get older, they are teaching me lots of things, mostly how to be cool, and do cool things like razoring, martial arts and boogie boarding. I still take on more than I can handle and I still run and life still never ceases to amaze me.

I would love to hear you all! Darcie

Burnett, Kelly (Vaughn) - E-mail: kelly062@aol.com

My name when I graduated from BUHS in 1980 was Kelly Vaughn. It is now July 2005. I have done a lot of interesting things since graduation. (e-mail me and I will give you the life story). For now, I have been happily married for 6 years to a wonderful man who is willing to put up with me. I have 2 children Curtis (24) and Amanda (21), 3.5 grandchildren Lillyanna (3), Gavin (2), Jacob (18 months) and Haylee (due October 05), 2 stepsons Jeff (35) and Stevyn (20). I live in the San Joaquin Valley, CA. Merced to be exact. I devoted the first 8 years after high school to my children and former husband. We lived in Bishop for a couple of years and then left. I then located to Merced County and have pretty much been here the rest of the time. I graduated from Merced College with a degree in Accounting in 1996 and began working for Merced County Human Services Agency (gasp!! the Welfare Office) in 1997. I have missed all class reunions and have only been back to Bishop once since we left. I would love to hear from any one who remembers me. I have read the postings and the names sound familiar and had to pull out the old yearbook. Boy oh boy did we look goofy back then. Times have changed and so have all of us. Please drop me a line and let me know how you are doing. My e-mail address is: Kelly062@aol.com. Please be sure to identify if you are from the class of 79, 80, or 81 in the subject line as I delete spam and addresses I am not familiar with. I am looking for old friends.

Kelly Burnett.

Lake, Paul - E-mail: paullake@csufresno.edu

Hello BUHS Alumni! What a thrill to find this excellent web site! After graduation I went straight to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. I started off thinking I would be an aerospace engineer, but somehow graduated with a degree in industrial technology, which oddly enough led to a teaching credential, which resulted in a position at Buchanan High School where I teach general science, physics, and advanced placement physics. Thanks must go to Dennis Brackett, Allen Schultz, and Ron Smith for being such great teachers and inspiration. I love being a teacher!

Along the way I married a wonderful and wise woman named Anne, and we've made two beautiful children: Aaron was born July 1, 1993, and Emma arrived on October 1, 1997. We live about a ten minute walk from Fresno State Univ. right across the street from Anne's parents. Richard Kinney and I are still friends. He and his family live in Clovis and our boys are also best buds.

I would love to hear from some old (and getting older all the time) friends. Please call, write or e-mail:

I am living in Belmont Shores, CA and I am a single father of the best son in the world. Wunschel, Teresa Sessums - E-mail: beesgold@earthlink.net

You probly all remember my Dad more than myself. He is Dr. J.H. Sessums (Herb) the "Town Dentist" for many years. I am his youngest daughter, Teresa (Sessums) Wunschel.

My husband, Raymond Wunschel, and I are both Aircraft Mechanics. As most of you probly know just prior to what would have been my High School Graduation, after having lived in Bishop since the Second Grade, I joined the US Air Force, in May of 1980. That is where I was originally trained as an Aircraft Mechanic. I travelled a lot to fun places such as Guam and a year tour in Greece. After that I was married for 7+ years. I would rather not discuss that time period except that we spent a year in what was West Germany. A couple years later I divorced (right after my trip to Bishop for an exciting Ten Year Reunion). That was in 1990. I then went back to college to get licensed by the Federal Aviation to work as an Aircraft Mechanic. I went to work for a while with a Commercial Airline. It was a very difficult time, due to the fact that I was a Single Mom. I left and went to work for a different Airlines, which is where I met the man that has now been my husband for almost Eight Wonderful Years!!! We now have five beautiful children (3 girls and 2 boys). We live out in the Country on 4 Acres where we have raised all sorts of farm animals. We love to hunt and fish, yet of course my love for Horses will last forever. I look forward to my 20 Year Reunion this Millenium Year of 2000. When we all said, "Can you imagine how old we will be then..." Well, Now is the "then" we were referring to back at our first "Pep Rally." Look how far we have all gone. Families and Friends Forever. With Love, Teresa "Sessums" Wunschel - Class of 1980

Feel free to e-mail me. For now I must get to sleep, It is 2 AM and we have to extract Honey from our bees tomorrow. Sweet Dreams (Day or Night) to all.

Hi All,

I've been meaning to send an update to the Alumni page for a while now, but things have been very hectic around here. I figured I'd better get this done before we have another reunion.

Just a quick and dirty recap on what I've been doing since HS Graduation. I went to college to become an Architect, but after graduating from El Camino College in Torrance, and not being able to get into Cal Poly SLO because of their 3 year waiting list. I ended up taking classes at the Devry Institute of Technology to get a Degree in Electronics. I landed a job in the Avionics Dept. with Continental Airlines where I worked on repairing Avionics Equipment, including the Flight Recorders ( Flight Data and Cockpit Voice Recorders ). This lasted for about 7 years, until our site was downsized (corporate term for being laid off). I went back to school and got retrained on computers. I spent a year studying about WAN, LAN, Client/Server, etc., and finally ended up getting an MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) certification. Now I do Windows for a living.

I currently work at an eCommerce company configure servers using Windows NT4 and Windows 2000, a little desktop support, LAN/WAN Administration, as well as trying to stay certified on all the new equipment and software that seems to be coming out every month.

My brother, Jim, has also gone through training on computers and is close to getting his MCSE certification. He currently lives in Iowa with his wife Shelley and their two kids Alyson and Austin. They can be reached at mudpmr@aol.com.

I've seen Art Gamboa, but haven't hooked up with him to play any golf in a while. He lives here in Torrance.

I'd like to hear from everyone who I grew up with, and had fun at those tire fires down by the river ... Those were a blast.!!!!!

Well, time for me to go. Take Care, Everyone. Send me an email or two if you 'd like. Many Thanks to the staff who put the Alumni web page together. It's an awesome place to reminisce about our earlier carefree days, huh. Little did we know what we had in store for us ..what a ride ... I should have paid more attention in Mr. Campbell's Civics class.

Girardot, Cheri (Schain) - E-mail: cgopera@aol.com

My husband Peter is a Tenor with the San Francisco Opera Chorus. I've learned to enjoy classical music, but country music is still my favorite.(You can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl)!!

E-mail me any time. I've kept in touch with Sandi Hanson ,Sandi Hooker and Leslie Brown.

Hench, Leslie (Brown) - E-mail: ljhench@mindspring.com

I've been married 10 years to my husband Jere Hench and we live in Los Gatos, California. I have three beautiful children Evan 5, Tim 3 and Camille 1. My family and I haven't visited Bishop much since my parents moved out of the area but we are planning a trip to Bishop in July. If anyone will be in the area let me know.

Miles, Joan (Calaway) - E-mail: jcmiles@austin.rr.com

I just took a trip down memory lane......WOW!!! Time flies doesn't it?! My family and I live in Austin, Tx. and have been here for 11 1/2 yrs. We really love it. My husband Brad and I have been married for almost 19 years now....Yikes! We have 3 kids...........2 daughters...Jennifer is 18 and will graduate from High school in May, 20 years after me! Randi is 17, she is a Jr. this year...she is so much like me it is frightening...I'm sure some of you know what I mean. Our son Jordan is 10 and is in 4th grade. Brad works for Motorola as the Manufacturing manager and does lots of things I don't understand...I do know he gets paid....and that's all that really matters...especially with teen-age girls heading to College. It's great reading about everyone. I look forward to our next reunion, so keep me posted. Happy 2001 to all of you and your families!

Miller, Bruce - E-mail: sickdog234@compuserve.com

After sitting on the bench for many impressive Bronco victories in various sports. I got an engineering degree from University of Nevada, after a couple of years at a JC in Washington state. My timing was great, I graduated right during the Reagan military buildup (they were desperate) and I got a slot in Navy flight school. For eleven years I got to fly around the Navy's vulnerable, or is that venerable? A-6 "Intruder". Living on a ship sucks, so I bailed out and got a job with Southwest Airlines. I am back in Reno, recently married to another Wolfpack graduate, who has yet to realize that she is way too good for me. Life is wonderful!!! Would love to hear from any of you who want to talk about the "good ol' days" of sitting around burning tires and wishing we were grown up. For any 1981 graduates, it is not too early to start thinking about the 20 year reunion (as class president, I think I am responsible?). I don't know if it would be better to plan it around Mule days, when there would be more to do, or have it during an off weekend when lodging... would be easier. My initial ideas are to have a party Friday night that would include people from classes a few years around us, a golf tourney Saturday, followed by a semi-formal dinner dance Saturday night and finally the Sunday picnic at Millpond where we could be amazed at who has reproduced and what they have reproduced. If you have any better ideas (wouldn't be hard) let me know, it is all of our party. You can send inputs to sickdog234@aol.com (Navy callsign), or (775) 853-1751

Ortega, Bob - E-mail: bortega@arthistory.ucsb.edu

I'm quickly working towards 20 years of employment at UC Santa Barbara, where I've served three different departments. I am currently the Business Officer for the History of Art & Architecture Department. Hopefully the state's economy will hold and even prosper so that I can look forward to an early retirement. I then can fully enjoy my many hobbies including hot-rodding in my 1934 Ford Coupe, cycling through our wonderful year-round climate and nature photography, both digitally and .35MM. All a far cry from my initial career goal to utilize my degree from USC in sports marketing and promotions. My wife Terri is also employed by the University with nearly 25 years of service credit. We actually met on the basketball court where she was coaching high school basketball and I had just landed my first job out of college as the sports editor for a small paper. We've been lucky enough to make three trips through the Eastern Sierra and Bishop over the recent summers. While Bishop has changed, it's also still the same. Our children have grown into adults now. Our daughter Jaima is 23 and working on obtaining her realtor's license. She was a high school All-American in volleyball but the sport burned her out by college. Our son Robert is only 11 months younger and still sticking close to home. Amazing how time flies. The last time I checked this site, the class of 1981 was revving up for a 20 year reunion. Now we're a short sprint away from 25.

Alexander, Rick - E-mail: er2005-06@hotmail.com

My wife of nearly 14 years, Pam, and I live in North Idaho with our two kids Brittany, 16, and Chelsea, 12. Both girls were born while we lived in Inyo County, but have grown up near Coeur d'Alene for the past 11 years. We also have a seven year old grandson (thanks to my step-daughter Jennifer)!

It took awhile, but I got education out of my system after spending time as the Principal at a Tribal School on the Coeur d'Alene Indian reservation. While I miss the kids and the activities, I DO NOT miss the parents or the school boards. I was starting at the school during the time of our 20th reunion, so could not attend. I am looking forward to the 30th in another 5 years.

I currently am the sales manager at Stock Building Supply in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho -- yes, the same large corporation that bought the old Copeland Lumber in Bishop.

The rest of my family has followed us up to Idaho. Mom and Dad and my sister Sherry (84) now live up here, as well.

I will be traveling to Bishop for Thanksgiving weekend (November '07) to visit my grandfather and look around at the old stomping grounds.

Know that all of my fellow alumni have a special place in my heart and my prayers.

Hello Everyone!

So it's here, 2002!

Thought it would never get here, and who really wanted it to? Who wanted to reach that date in time where you look back and realize that 20 years have passed since you graduated from High School? Hmmmm. Still seems like yesterday in some regards and then in others it seems like a lifetime ago.

Here is my latest update:

Still living in Knoxville, TN
Still working at Coca-Cola
Legally still married

We have been living in Huntington Beach, CA for 14 years now, and happily married to Joe for 8 years. Cameron is now 6 and Caylin 3 1/2. The children are certainly keeping me very busy. Cameron started school this year so I enjoy working in the classroom. We are busy with soccer, ballet and Tae Kwon Do. For me personally I help lead a womens bible study once a week and meet for bunco with a great group of ladies once a month. My children and my family are my life and my greatest blessing so I am only working one evening a week as a marriage and family therapist. However, my training has certainly been helpful over the years!! I have really enjoyed reading about what everyone has been up to. I look forward to our reunion next year.

Hall, Gina (Laird) - E-mail:hallfive@qnet.com

We have been living here in Bishop for the past 8 years. My husband works for the County Road Dept. and I work for the Inyo Co. Office of Education.

Hartman, Joel - E-mail:jhartman@ecesys.com

After graduating from BUHS in '82, I went to LeTourneau College (Texas) for five years and Ohio State University for another 1-1/2 year. Shortly after graduating from OSU, I married Jennifer and we now have four children (each growing quickly).

After college and getting married, we lived in Kennewick, Wahington for a little over ten years. Then from mid-2000 through mid-2003 we lived in Germany. (Unfortunately, during this time, I missed the 20-year reunion.) That was a great experience for the whole family, but after finishing my 3-year job assignment we were ready to return to the US - this time to Lynchburg, VA where we now live.

Hinek, Mark - E-mail: JHINEK@aol.com

Hi everyone to the class of 1982. After I graduated from BUHS, I moved down to San Diego and finished my education. I also hung out with alot of other people from Bishop down on the coastal area and had alot of fun getting together or as we used to say partying it up. I met my wife in San Marcos and we have been together ever since. We have been legal for 10 years now. We have two children-Matthew who is 14 and Karen who is 8. We moved back to Bishop and have been here for 10 years now. You can't raise children in a better place. I drive the big trucks and my wife works on her own doing in home care. We have a ski boat which we take down to Klondike (or the mud hole ) as we call it every weekend in the summer time. You couldn't ask for a better life than that. I'm helping out organizing the 20th class reunion. It's going to be fun to see everyone this time around. Feel free to e-mail me at JHINEK@aol.com or write to me .

Kerrick, Greg - E-mail: thunking1@yahoo.com

The Reunion on Labor Day Weekend was simply GREAT! Special thanks to the Hinek's and the many others involved for planning and coordinating all the events. That was a lot of work and I know many people truly appreciated all the efforts.

On a personal note things are changing big time in my life. First of all, I am leaving Intel and starting my own business. I will be taking advantage of the 500,000 swimming pools that are located in the Phoenix Metro area by offering sales, service and repairs. Second, it's looking like the single life and I will be hooking up. Last, the real big change, my new email address is: thunking1@yahoo.com

Again,

Thanks to all who made the REUNION memorable

Greg

I actually left for McAllen, Texas in February of 1981 and have been here since. McAllen is 12 miles north of Mexico directly south of San Antonio. I am a 14 year veteran of the City of McAllen Fire Department. I am married to Patti and we have three daughters Megan (10), Tori (7) and Hannah (4) and we have an adopted teenager Erika (16). We spend our spare time working with the youth at the Church. I would like to be kept advised of any reunions as we come to California every few years! I long for the tall pines of the Sierra Nevada!

Hi! I'm alive and well in the mountains just west of Denver, CO. I'm currently a Windows software developer and project manager for Orca Software. I've been married for the last 6 years to my wife Susan and we have a beautiful, 18-month-old daughter, Rebecca Lynne. I play drums in a local rock band, enjoy backpacking and photography, and still collect glass insulators. I'm a die-hard Bronco fan and enjoy writing computer shareware games "on the side". We visit Bishop as much as we can over the years, since I have family still living there. Drop me some email sometime.

Krejci, Richard - E-mail: mojomocha@hotmail.com

After graduation, I joined the Air Force and served for over eight years as an Information Systems Specialist. Afterwards, I lived in Flagstaff, AZ for a short time, and then I moved to my current home, San Diego, CA.

In San Diego, I have worked on several network and systems engineering contracts, most supporting the Navy. For a while, I "moonlighted" as a bassist in a successful local band. Around the same time, I also started attending college at night, and I finally graduated with a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems in June 2002.

Somehow, in between working all day, going to school at night, and playing in a band on the weekends, I met the woman of my dreams. We got married in August 2001.

I had a blast at our 20-year reunion. Driving around Bishop and the surrounding area brought back lots of great memories. I am looking forward to our next reunion!

Laughon, Barbara (Ferry) - E-mail: barb@paws2purr.com

I graduated from the University of Nevada-Reno with a degree in Journalism in 1987. I returned to Bishop that same year and began working at The Inyo Register newspaper as a reporter. By 1992, I was promoted to Editor and by 1999, I was serving as both the General Manager and Managing Editor. I always loved Small Town Journalism and all that comes with it – the deadlines, the delicate fact-digging and the occasional drudgery. But after 15 years – 24 if you count my "early" days there – I called it quits. I just wasn't cut out to take direction from the "corporate" guys who bought the paper in 2000.

In mid-July 2002, the legendary wilderness photographer and mountaineer Galen Rowell called me. He and his wife Barbara had relocated their photography business and gallery to Bishop the year before. Galen was looking for a personal assistant and wanted to know if I was interested. It took me about two seconds to say yes.

Tragically, I never got the chance to work with Galen and Barbara. They died Aug. 11, 2002 as the result of a small airplane crash about a mile south of the Bishop Airport. Through some miracle, I was still given the chance to work at Galen and Barbara's business, Mountain Light Photography. I handle image licensing, press relations, ad design and anything else thrown my way. I thank God every day for the opportunity to work at Mountain Light – it's an amazing place with an equally amazing staff. If you are in town, Mountain Light is located on the southeast corner of Main and Line streets in the historic Bank Building. Please stop in, enjoy the Rowells' legacy and say hello.

I've been married to Paul Laughon of the La Casita Mexican restaurant fame since 1992. We have no children – just one cantankerous tabby cat named Nikky. I am currently the President of the Bishop Mule Days Committee and Vice President of the Bishop Chamber of Commerce. Between work and community service, we stay pretty busy.

Here's looking forward to our next reunion! Cheers!

I am now working for Sydran Services as a operations consultant for Chili's Restaurants. It's a big change from ranching, but at least it smells better. Over the last year I spent three months in Rapid City SD. opening a new Chili's and then ten months in Omaha NE. training new managers.

I spend most of my free time with my daughter Rosie (4). She loves to go fishing, sad thing is she catches more fish then I do.

I'm currently working part-time for the City of Bishop and am also serving on the Bishop Elementary School Board, while trying to juggle several other volunteer activities. I still sing, mostly in church and in the Community Choir although I've pretty much given up on the idea of winning a Grammy.

My husband owns Traver News Service (formerly Elmo's News Agency) and handles the distribution of the Los Angeles Times, New York Times and Wall Street Journal locally. He also has been quite successful in writing and selling custom software in his "spare" time.

I am living in Shell Beach, California with my husband and two daughters. Abby is 7 and is in second grade. Emma is 4. I work three days a week for Caltrans. I graduated from Cal Poly with a Civil Engineering degree and was lucky to get a job in San Luis Obispo after graduation. My husband is also an engineer with Caltrans.

My life is filled with the daily activities of keeping house plus working in Abby's classroom, taking Emma to dance class and walks with our golden retriever, Daisy . Can you tell that I love a simple life? We come back "home" several times a year. My brother, Mark and his family are in Bishop. My parents are also still there-thank goodness. I will always miss the changing of the seasons. For those of you unfamiliar with the Central Coast, it is incredibly and sometimes, unfortunately, very mild. So coming back to Bishop in the winter is one of my favorite things to do. The kids love to go up to Bishop Creek and play in the snow.

I am lucky to work with several alum's. David Silberberger, Mike Kruger and Debbie (Nakken) Applebaum all are Civil Engineers working for Caltrans in San Luis Obispo. I keep in touch with Janet (Schain) Thomson, who is in Bishop. Linda (Rixey) Paulson and I get together to catch up once a year when her husband is in town playing in the Straight Down golf tournament. She has two beautiful boys.

It's sure fun reading this alumni page, brings back alot of fun memories. Well after graduation I lived in Bishop for a few years running the local ambulance. I moved to Santa Rosa where I attended school and worked in Petaluma. I had enough of the city life and wanted to find a place more like home (Bishop). So now I am a Police Officer in Sonora. I have been here for the last 7 years and I just love it (almost as much as Bishop). I have a picture on the city's web site at www.sonoraca.com/spd look under the traffic section. In 1995 I was involved in a shooting and I was just amazed at the mail I received from all my friends in Bishop and I just wanted to thank everybody for their letters and support. it really meant alot Well everything is back to normal and I am back to work. I run into people from Bishop all the time. In case anybody wants to know, last summer I ran into Sean Lays, he didn't graduate with us, but was in our class. He was driving truck and flagged me down in Sonora looking for directions. At first he didn't recognize me, it sure scared the heck out of him when I knew who he was. I sure would like to hear from any of my friends or just anybody who wants to email. So don't be shy!!

Monte L. Brokate, CPA
Senior Manager
Assurance and Business Advisory Services
PricewaterhouseCoopers N.V.
The Hague, The Netherlands

After passing the CPA exam and graduating from UCSB in 1987 (BA, Business Economics; yes, I got the order backwards), I joined Price Waterhouse in LA, working exclusively with local, regional and global financial institutions ('Joe's Bank and Body Shop' to Great Western Bank to Union Bank of Switzerland). Eventually some consulting to the Fed's in relation to failed S&L's, including working with the lawyers trying Keating and his crowd at Lincoln Savings. I lived in Hayward briefly trying to save a friend's manufacturing company, to no good end other than the incredible experience of actually running a company, troubled or otherwise. PW called as I was looking for a place to land, and a year later they asked me if I would like to do a tour in Brazil (no, no one ever mentioned the work "exile"). A quick 'yes', a 12 hour flight and seemingly a blink of the eye, and 5 years had past. My Bishop High friends won't believe it, but I was speaking Portuguese after that blink. Working to the exclusion of everything else, I decided to quit and spend some time fishing the lower Rock Creek with my dad, getting some new golf clubs, and then spending a month visiting friends and emptying wine and grappa bottles in Italy, Switzerland, Germany and, ultimately, the Netherlands.

In any event, the PwC people found me and talked me into coming back to the firm, but in the land of cheese and wooden shoes! Two years here and I have decided that consulting ain't the same as doing it yourself. If anyone knows of a company looking for a CFO-European Operations, let me know. We have only recently come to appreciate driving to Paris for the weekend, the one-hour flight to London, and the odd, pastoral weekend in the Champagne region (we have found some great Champagne houses, if anyone's planning a celebration . . . ), so we would like to hang around Western Europe for awhile, before heading to the States, or Asia, or God-know's-where. Besides, my wine tasting parties have quite a following here!

Yes, if you were paying attention, 'I' am now a 'we'. Marli, my ex-secretary, best friend and favorite person to be with, moved from Brazil to Holland at the beginning of the year and has agreed to marry me (in two weeks, August 24, 2000, on the beach in St Thomas assuming I can keep her from reaching sobriety before the boat lands - no guns were involved at any time during this process).

How the hell are you!!! After graduation, I spent 2 years learning how to be a mechanic on diesel trucks. I then spent the next 13 years running and repairing concrete pumping equipment. I got the chance to do a lot of the concrete work on the high rise buildings in Los Angeles. I have traveled to almost every state, Mexico and Canada repairing and teaching people how to run these machines. I recently got tired of this industry and California and moved with my now wife Shelley and her two kids to Perry, Iowa. I returned to school and have recently earned my MCSE ( Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer ) certification. I work as a hydraulic specialist/network administrator in Des Moines. Shelley and I were married in August of last year with none other than Tim Dunlap as my best man. Shelley works for an internet job listing agency. It is great to see everyone on the website. I would love to hear from all of you. Take care and I'll see you all at the reunion.

Garrigues, John - E-mail: jgarrigues@dioptics.com

Wow, almost 20 years later - I've now lived away from Bishop longer than I lived there. Lots has happened in that time! I attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo for almost 6 years, graduating in Industrial Technology in 1989. Moved to Sacramento for a job at the huge Japanese company NEC. Got married to my college girlfriend who then two years later ran off with another guy and sued/divorced me for just about everything I owned. Had a couple of dogs - yellow labs - one died and I lost the other one in the divorce. I sold my house at a huge loss, property values had plummeted because a nearby military base closed down. I decided that I'd had enough of Sacramento and moved back to San Luis Obispo!

Things are going much better now, I certainly have no regrets about coming back. I feel very much at home in SLO. I bought a cool old house that's a few bocks from downtown four years ago. I grow a big organic garden each year. Cooking continues to be one of my biggest hobbies, seems like I'm always having people over to eat. For 10 years now I've put on an annual fish taco party for Cinco de Mayo, fed about 90 friends this year! I'm involved with a couple of great organizations - Burning Man (official site http://www.burningman.com which is a weird and wonderful festival out in the middle of Nevada each summer. Some pictures I took there. (http://images.burningman.com/index.cgi?q_keyword=&q_year=&q_category=&q_photog=burningboris&go.x=6&go.y=9) I'm also involved with SLO's Mardis Gras group, which puts on a big celebration each year.

For a job I'm the Information Technology manager for a sunglass manufacturer here in SLO. We make the big goofy sunglasses that old people wear after eye surgery. (our site: www.dioptics.com ) Weird product but we sell tons of them.

Travel continues to be important to me also, at last count I had visited about 20 foreign countries, some multiple times. I've been to Australia three times, to visit Mike Allen and Zoe Little. Most recently I spent two weeks on the beach in St. Martin, in the Caribbean. In 2000 I went to Australia for the Olympics then continued on to Bali for a week. I make it back to Bishop once in a while to visit my surrogate parents Eve and Jim Allen, my real ones died in 1986 (mom) and 1997 (dad.)

I'm still single at this point. Haven't found a new soulmate yet...

Feel free to drop me a line, I always enjoy connecting with Bishop people!

I work at a golf co. called Absolute Sports. I am the personal assistant to the owner of the co. I still have a lot of family in Bishop so I get back there every so often. I would love to hear from my home town friends. I miss every one.

Harvey, Dana (Crom) - E-mail: harvey@schat.com

Unlike my brother, who traveled the world only to end up in the Garden State (New Jersey), I simply traveled California only to return to good ol' Bishop. After packing up my little yellow car, I headed off to Sacramento where I spent four years as a Hornet at Sac State. In what many of you may take as a surprising move, I headed off to law school after graduation - also in Sacramento. While in law school I met my husband, Gerard. An Easterner who thought all Californians surfed, I introduced him to the Eastern Sierra. Five years after graduating (during which time we lived in the Bay Area), I finally convinced him that Bishop was the place for us. So, in the fall of 1995, with three dogs in tow, we moved in with my parents (Frank & Virginia were thrilled!) Gerard immediately hung his shingle and I went to work for Inyo County. Yes, we did move out of my parents' house and onto a ranch in Hammil Valley. We have two sons, Frankie, 4, and Joey, 2. They are both a hand full and causing us to rethink the Hammil Valley thing (20 miles is quite a commute when you live in Bishop!) Hoping to spend more time with the boys, in January 2000 we went into practice together and are now handling both public defender and private cases (of course, I have no more free time then when I was with the County). He is primarily a criminal defense lawyer and I focus on civil work. Our public defender cases have caused many heated dinner conversations with my dad, who retired from the Police Department in 1995 but is still a cop at heart. I'm sure he loves the fact that his daughter and son-in-law are defending the very guys he used to arrest!

We still see some of our alum - a few in court who I'd prefer not to list, and others on a more social basis such as Gerry (Mathieu) Tanksley, Stephanie (Gartin) Hoover and Mike and Zoe Allen. Should anyone get to town, look us up. Our office is above the Pyrenees and our phone is 873-6755.

Holaday, Katie (Sidebottom) - E-mail: monkeyz3@microz.net

I moved to the Sacramento area right after high school and went to college for a short time. In 1988 I married Roger Holaday (Class of 83) ( and better known as Doc) anyway we have 3 children, Casey (in our hearts), Torey 7 and Teigan born in Feb of 98. I work for Blue Shield of California and Roger is a plumber. We live in Galt, California which is 30 minutes south of Sacramento. We moved here in 1988, it is a small town like Bishop (but no mountains) which we miss very much. When Roger is finished with his apprenticeship program we want to move closer to Gardnerville NV, which is where my parents are.

We sure do miss the Class of 83. Anybody out there can email me.

I would sure like to find Lisa Ninke (Smith)????

Hello BUHS Alumni. I have three wonderful children-Alesha, Patrick and Carly. Alesha and Patrick have graduated from BUHS, Carly will graduate in 2011. I am newly single, life is good. I have been fortunate to live in Bishop for these years and persue a career in Healthcare, working at Northern Inyo and Mammoth Hospitals for most all of those years. I can be caught snow skiing, hiking, hunting or fishing, passionate about the Sierras, I see many friends still in Bishop from time to time. I recently took up cycling and enjoy the time on the road. I'm a boating and water ski fanatic, spending as much time as possible on the water or working on a boat or two in one way or another. I am now living between my home in Bishop and my home on Lake Conroe, TX where water is at the backdoor. Our community golf course is #1 in the Houston area, and #5 in the State, yes (they really do all that golfing in TX) it is a challenging fun and beautiful course. Would like to hear from all of you to reunite, catch up...

Jones, Denise (Neesie) - E-mail: Thirdstreetale@aol.com

To all that forgot about me, here's what I've been up to since my parents whisked me away way back in 1977.......

I moved to Carson City, Nevada where I graduated from Carson High in 1982 and after many years and several careers, I decided to enter brewing school and accept an apprenticeship degree in brewing sciences from the American Brewer's Guild in Davis, California. After the apprenticeship I worked as the Assistant Brewer at Great Basin Brewing Co. in Sparks, Nevada for a couple of years until I assumed the role of Head Brewer at the Bluewater Brewing Co. in Tahoe City, California. In the spring of 1998, I became the Brewmaster at Third Street Aleworks, a brewpub located in Santa Rosa, California, right in the heart of Sonoma county wine country. I'm responsible for all brewing production and, I must say, that I really love my work.

My mom (Leah) and sis (Jenni) still reside in Carson City , as well as my dad (Jim), who are all well and happy.

As for the rest of the story;

Married once, divorced once, kidless and making beer lovers all across Northern California very happy. I make it to Mammoth at least once a year for the Blues-a-palooza Beerfest in August/September and I still head down to Bishop ever so often to play 18 at the country club.

If anyone wants to contact me or just come have a couple of pints, I can be found at

Hi to all from Orange County. What fun it is to read about the alumni who have been willing to share a bit about there lives since graduating from good old Bishop High. Wow, what a variety of stories, we all have done so many interesting things with our lives so far. Just think of the stories we'll have to tell twenty years from now. I can't wait. As for me, I have been married 12 years to a wonderful man, Larry Pace. We have three children, a 10 year old girl, Elle, a six year old boy, Garrett and a 2 year old boy, Hunter. We own a physical therapy and sports training clinic in Orange Park Acres, a beautiful horse community in Orange, California. I do nutritional counseling through the clinic, and teach private art lessons out of our home.

Six months after our son Hunter was born, I started training for triathlons. After six years as a spectator, it was time for me to give it a go. Every year we look forward to spending Labor Day in Bishop. It is so nice to escape the busy life and relax in such a beautiful place. Not to mention, eat great food, prepared by none other than my dad. My parents are still in Bishop enjoying their retirement. My dad is keeping busy with projects here and there, my mom is too. They both miss the occasional visits they would get at the deli from some of you, and hearing about all the things you were doing. I'm sure they would love to hear from those of you. That's it from me. Hope to see you all at the reunion, I'm assuming that we will be having one this year.

Until then, stay happy.

It's hard to believe that our 20-year high school graduation anniversary is almost upon us. How time flies when you're having fun! I'm still in LB (Long Beach, CA) since moving here after our high school graduation. It's close enough that I am able to visit Bishop about ten times each year on my way to Mammoth or some other part of the Sierra Nevada. Since 1988, I've been working to protect the California coast as a staff member of the California Coastal Commission. In 1998 I married a beautiful Librarian, Diane Olivo. Our first child, Luke, was born in October of 2000. I wish you all the best. See you at Mammoth!

Well...after a lifelong dream of becoming a nurse and after years in nurse's training, I decided this wasn't what I really wanted, (okay, so I still don't know) but I did love working for the hospital and so the medical records department took me in and I learned medical coding/transcription, grew restless, moved to Flagstaff, Arizona and was trained in the cardiology department. And now, after all that, I have the very best of everything - I still work for the hospital as a medical transcriptionist from my home where my extremely busy and very beautiful family is; my husband Horacio (old, like me), Sarah (16), Eli (15), Alysa (11), and Julian (6). The two oldest children were wedding presents from my husband. We are dedicated to camping, dancing, music (we all play something) and of course, city league softball. (Go DIAMONDBACKS!!) I still golf, swim and even bat the ball around the court once in a while. I'm one of the crazy people who actually likes cooking, gardening, and home improvement. Would like to hear from people....I really miss the tennis team!

Aloha everyone,

Great to see this site!!! Looks like I'll be seeing Paul Schat on the beach? After leaving Bishop in 1982 I attended High School in Fullerton (Southern California). After High School I went across the street to Cal State Fullerton where I competed in wrestling and studied P.E. (I always wanted to be like Jack Crowther when I grew up). While I was in College I started surfing. Seven years in Southern California was enough and I wanted to get back to the country so I moved to The North Shore. Just last year we got our first traffic light. After arriving here in Hawaii in 1989 I completed my teaching certificate at B.Y.U. Hawaii.

I married a beautiful Hula Dancer from Fiji. We have 4 kids, 3 boys and a girl, ages 11, 10, 9 and 3. We live between Sunset Beach and Pipeline and try to surf as much as possible. If you are in the neighborhood maybe I can pull you into some waves on the jetski? I miss the mountains and the cold weather and always have fond memories of my hometown.

My husband and I recently celebrated our son's 4th birthday and our daughter's 1st birthday. The past year has flown by between work -- I am a real estate attorney -- and keeping up with the kids. Drove across the country from Toronto back to home (Irvine, California) after getting stuck in Toronto on Sept. 11th. My business companion and I made it back home in record time -- 2 1/2 days. The trip was accelerated by the fact that because there were so many people on the road travelling across the country while flights were grounded, hotel rooms were difficult to find. Started painting again and still drawing in my spare time, mostly portrait work these days. I always enjoy hearing from classmates, and my e-mail address has recently changed to cschuk@coxcastle.com

Glad to find this page. The past 15 years have been busy moving back and forth across the country from California to Colorado, Kansas, and Michigan. We currently live in a VERY small town in Michigan that makes Bishop look downright metropolitan. Our family is moving back to Kansas City soon.

I married my husband David back in '88 and at the time began an instant family with a new 3 year old son Kyle and 1 year old daughter Janalyn. Since then we added McKenna '96 and Connor '97. Quite hard to believe how much time has gone by, since I remember many of you quite clearly. Now Kyle is getting his Driver's License this summer and I'll have two kids in High School this fall.

Can't believe that it has been 16 years. I still feel as young as ever. I have been married for 12 years to a wonderful man named Jeff. I have no children, this is a good thing since I travel to Europe a lot with my husband. My husband and I just moved back to California after being in Colorado for a while. After high school I moved to Lancaster where I lived for 9 years. Then we were transferred to Colorado Springs, Colorado. We have now been transferred to Fresno, California. It's not the place of choice, but I guess its home for now. I am a graduate of University of Colorado @ Boulder and Fresno State University. I am a homemaker and thats how my husband likes it. I have a dog and a cat and sometimes not enough time for them. We are into waterskiing, drag racing, vacationing around the globe. I miss everyone from high school, and hope to here from some of you soon! Has anyone seen Kim Brooks (Cleland)? Jennifer Quinney? Let me know if someone has information.

Sorensen, Kira - E-mail: kira_sorensen@hotmail.com

I left Bishop for college in Tacoma Washington (University of Puget Sound) and after college, moved to Seattle. Not long after, I joined Microsoft, where I was in product management/marketing (I left last March). I am a newlywed - my husband and I were married last July in Napa, Ca. Pam Willis (Paulson) was in my wedding. (She is doing great - living outside Aspen with her husband and three children). It is great to visit this website and see what people have been up to since high school. I get back to Bishop at least once a year to visit my parents.

Tetrick, Andrea - E-mail: atwoodside@erols.com

After stopovers in L.A., Sacramento and Portland, I moved to Washington, D.C. in 1994 where I assumed a position with Tower Records/Video/Books as Mid-Atlantic Books Regional Manager. My region extended at one time from Philadelphia to the Washington metro area, stores in Atlanta, New Orleans and (believe it or not) Mexico City. The travel and career challenges were incredible, but after three years I realized I could no longer develop at the pace I desired. So, in October of '97, I quit my job to pursue my life-long dream of writing full-time. A published poet, I have been concentrating on short fiction and some non-fiction and have, by all reckoning, never been happier.

Also, I always thought my cousin Paul Schat would be the one helping me out with my retirement....

Hello!!!!!

I can no longer say my household isn't the LAST one to have the internet (Merry Christmas to us). Well, where do I start.....I live in beautiful Brownsville (Boonieville) Ca. It's about 1 hour Northeast of Sacramento in the pine trees! I am now married to a wonderful man who I crack up on a daily basis........OK, he can make me chuckle, too.

Together we have 5, yes, 5 kids. 4 of which are girls, 3 are teenagers.........I have a son Michael, he looks like the Hoodmans, who is 16, 6'2" and a daughter Angelica (Angie) who is 14 and looks just like her dad, Marvin, less all the body hair. I have 3 beautiful additions gifted to me from my husband, Greg. Sienna is 16 with big doe eyes and a smile to match, Mikayla is 13 and the brains of the bunch, and we never get a chance to forget our youngest, Kristiana. She is 11 going on 40, this one never shuts down. My mom is right, she earned EVERY one of her gray hairs.

I have the best man in the world to call my husband. Greg is an Asphalt Plant Engineer in Lincoln, Ca. I look forward to my job of working at a hospital, I have done some of the clinical side, but prefer the business part. I would love to hear from anyone who wants to contact me.

Wampler, Jennifer (Park) - E-mail: brwjw@aol.com

I am currently living in Chiloquin, Oregon, a much, much smaller town than Bishop, and loving every minute of it. I have been married to my second and definitely best, husband Butch for three years now. We have 5 kids all together, 4 girls and a boy, they are 22, 20, 12, 11 & 8 and we also have a grandson that just turned one. My husband is a logger and President of Wampler Logging. To keep it in the family, I too work for Wampler Logging in the office with my Mother-In-Law.(She is the real boss). I also have become very involved in the local Rodeo that we have every year, it keeps me busier than my kids or job, but I love every minute of it. Anyway, I get back to Bishop at least once a year to see mom and get to see a few of our classmates but would like to hear from some more.

I was so happy to see so many BUHS alumni's listed on this web page... I have literally have lost touch with everyone.. I missed our ten year reunion due to my overwhelming determination to exceed in a career... (highly recommend that no one miss their reunions, I sincerely regret doing so!)

For the past four years, I have been residing in Georgia. I am a Operations Manager for a mortgage finance company and have been in the finance business for 12 glorious years.. Not much more to add to that..no kids or pets... and I'm still an Adams!!......

I would love to hear from y'all..

Baptie, Rob - E-mail: Farmer_Rob@hotmail.com

Hello! hehehee well, it's been a long strange trip, and I have lost contact with everyone except Todd Walters. After graduation I joined the Air Force and wandered the planet for 6 years (to include OH lucky me... Desert Storm). When I got out I found myself in Merced California working for E & J Gallo Winery (bad move!).. That torture endured for aprox 3 years when POP! my head emerged from darkness and I decided to go to school @ age 26! Well Flash forward to now:--->I teach fifth grade in a small ag-community outside of Merced (Winton, Ca.) and I'm having a blast! I no longer race bicycles -> a gnarly bout with cancer (defeated) sidelined that career, but I'm enjoying life w/ loving wife Andrea (of 10 years!) and our bloodhound Molly. All sorts of hobbies and interests, but travel and a good cigar rank among my favorites! Would love to hear from anyone who actually remembers me...LOL take care and well wishes to you all.

Hey Class of '85 ! I was happy to find a webpage with many of your stories and addresses !

As many of you know, I entered the US Navy after graduating. I spent not quite 9 years as a "Navy Nuke" on the submarine USS Pintado out of San Diego. My final 4 years were spent as a prototype instructor in Idaho Falls, ID. I got out in May, 1994. I then spent 7 years as a Control Room Operator at the Wabash River Gasification Plant in Terre Haute, IN. Just 6 months ago, I was offered a Control Room Operator position with Duke Energy at a new Cogeneration Power Plant in Marietta, OH. Notice that I keep moving in wrong direction !

I've been married to a my wonderful redheaded bride, Michelle, for 14 years; no children - just 4 Chinese Shar Pei dogs. I still live for backpacking and flyfishing every summer. I miss Bishop terribly. I made a backpacking trip out of there in June, 1990, and ran into Jeff Arnold on the trail above North Lake. Hey folks, drop me a line and tell Todd (Walters) and Erik (Seversen) that I'm looking for them.

Well, I feel the need to update my location and job activity. I have indeed made my way back to Bishop to pursue my photography and writing. I can't imagine leaving here again. I am working part time for Inyo-Mono Transit driving a bus around town while I devote the rest of my waking hours to my photography and writing. My wife Paula, an avid mountain biker, drives a semi with double trailers to LA and back for Motor Cargo five nights a week. I am continuing to be published on a somewhat regular basis, however my goal now is to photograph intensely for the next year or two to build my photo files. Once I have several thousand images in my files I will be in a better position to attempt becoming full time pro. E-mail, write or call me. I would love to hear from some of you.

Robertson, Lynda - E-mail: lynda_robertson@hotmail.com

I moved from Bishop after the 9th grade, and have wonderful memories of growing up there. Saw Mr. Kennedy (math 8th grade) while I was in Tulsa. Drove through Bishop about 6 years ago (taking the long way between LA - where my folks are now - and Yosemite -- had to take Sonora pass, too). Wow - what a change.

I've lived in a few states since I left California, (Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee) and am currently (2001) in Asheville, North Carolina. Been married and divorced. Dropped out of society and was a raft guide; now I'm an accountant

I went to school at three different high schools after leaving BUHS - so I still think of that as my school. I'd love to hear from anyone - whether you remember me or not. And I'll be checking out some of the email addresses to see if they are still current.

Danhouser, Wendy (Royeton) - E-mail: scwdan@msn.com

I'm not sure how many of you remember me, but I remember all of you. I was moved to Susanville, CA in 1982. I grew up in Bishop and attended K-9th. I was formerly Wendy Royeton and now am Wendy Danhouser. I have been married for 11 years and have a beautiful son named Connor (4). I am a stay at home mom outside Sacramento, CA in Elk Grove. My husband works as a painter for the County of Sacramento and also is a painting contractor with his own business. I would love to hear from some of you to let me know what happened at BUHS from 1983-1985. I was hoping there would be a 15 year reunion this year so I could sneak in and see all of you, but I don't see one listed. So E-mail me if you feel like it.

Severson, Eric - E-mail: erikseverson@earthlink.net

Hey Y'all. After an 8 year stint in the Army I lived in Ridgecrest for a couple of years, moved to Texas in '97 and have lived in Dallas since '98. I used to go to Bishop fairly often to play golf or on my way to Mammoth. I love Texas and Big D is a fun town, I enjoy the flack I get from Mavericks fans when I wear my Lakers garb to games. I do miss the mountains, but the abundance of golf courses helps make up for it. After years of hemming and hawing about it I started my own business last year and only wish I did it sooner. I do retirement planning for small businesses. I am still single and loving life. I would love to hear from anyone.

Walters, Todd - Email address: waltersth@yahoo.com

I was graduated from UCLA in 1990 and then hung around the LA area for a while in the corporate world. After I got burned out on the Southern California scene, I escaped to Seattle in late '92 in a rented van full of my personal effects. While there, I met, and then married my wife Andrea in '96, daughter Kyra was born in 2/'98 and son Bryce in 1/'00. I was working for GE Capital at the time they transferred me to the Bay Area in 4/'00 and now live in Sonoma, CA. I currently work for GE Financial Assurance (part of GE Capital) as the Marketing Operations Leader for the Direct Marketing Department. I've lost touch with many of you and would love to hear back!

Walton, Jeff - E-mail: waltjk@pacbell.net

Hi to everyone looking at this page. I see some recent updates so figure it is time for me to update.

Unfortunately I won't be making the 20 year reunion. We have a big family vacation planned at the same time.

I am still in the wine industry, working for a production company near Napa creating marketing material. I am a freelance Graphic Designer on the side as well. Kristen my wife of 15 years stays home with the crew. Garrett 14, Zachary 11, Megan 7 and Julia now 4. We are very busy with all the school events and sport events. Occasionally we find time to eat and sleep.

Kristen continues to amaze me by taking care of everyone, all day/everyday.

Garrett is starting high school next fall, what a trip! Makes me feel real old! He is an awesome wrestler and we are hoping for big things in high school.

Zachary is a baseball freak! Lives and breathes nothing else. He will be playing on the all star team and tournament teams this summer.

Megan is 7 going on 13, Scary. She is a great student and a soccer queen.

Julia, our baby is very smart and beautiful, she loves to annoy her brothers and sister. She will be trouble, watch out boys.

We spend our time snowboarding in the winter, driving to wrestling tournaments and camping in our vintage 1974 Prowler 21' trailer. White trash living at it's best. Life is good I hope yours is as well. Please feel free to drop me an email if you have a chance. Jeff@packagingarts.com Until next update take care!

Wilson, Julie (Sequoia Fuller) - Email: seqdam@earthlink.net

My name was Julie Wilson during my Bishop days. I moved away before high school, but Bishop will always be my home. I have been married and divorced once. I am currently living with my fiancee (Damian) in New Orleans. He and I are both artists and I write and also do web design and the like. I found that I have quite a passion for politics, so in 1994 I ran for Congress when I lived in Flagstaff Arizona. I didn't win, but I am sure I will run for office again at some point in the future. I have no children, and don't plan on any. I do have a house full of animals including a pot-bellied pig, dog, cats, snakes and a turtle (they are all spoiled rotten!).

Much of my family still lives in Bishop (in Swall Meadows), and I was back there in November of 1999 for my grandmother's funeral. Because of those circumstances, I didn't get a chance to visit anyone else.

I would also like to mention that I was devastated when I heard that Mr. Richard Beach was killed, as he was not only a family friend ever since I can remember, but was my very favorite teacher, and in fact the person who inspired me to go on to do the things I do now.

P.S. I changed my name years ago, and it is now Sequoia Fuller

Clair, Dana (Lloyd) - Email: clair@qnet.com

Hi everyone! I have just finally taken the time to check out this web page that I have heard so much about and I'm glad that I did. Since I have a daughter (step, but, I'm lucky enough to get to raise her) as a freshman @ BUHS, it seems that I'm there quite a bit. Some might say more so than when I was enrolled there myself...but, we won't go there! I'll back up a little, I married Jeff Hollowell (class of 81) back in 1987, we brought 2 wonderful daughters, Corissa and Cassidy, into the world, but, we are no longer together. Kim Miroballi Hollowell and I got to be sister-in-laws for several years and our 4 girls (their two, Ashley and Allyssa) are cousins.

I have been married to a great guy. John Clair (Class of 75) for over 5 years, now. He is the General Manager of High Sierra Plastics here in Bishop where we are fortunate enough to raise our 4 children (his 2 and my 2), together. Nicole is 15 and about a foot taller than me, a BUHS cheerleader, and a blessing to have in my life. I must say, though, that a teenager requires a lot more energy than the younger 3 put together. Garrett and Corissa are both just finishing up the 6th grade at Home Street, along with Kelsey, Terri Aubrey Ditty's daughter. BUHS probably thought that they were done with Dana & Terri, but, there is still these 2 yet to come! Garrett keeps us busy with around the calender sports, those of you old enough, hee hee, may remember that his father was quite the BUHS basketball star. Corissa is a tiny little thing who dances like you wouldn't believe and has brains to boot. Then there's our youngest, Cassidy, quite spunky and precocious, she keeps us on our toes. She will be in 5th grade next year and just praying that she gets to have Mr. Coleman for his last year before retirement. Corissa had him for 5th grade and he is exactly the same as back in "our day", are we getting old, or what? Needless to say, there is never a dull moment around here. In between everyone's activites I have managed to take several classes at Cerro Coso, work PT @ a dentist's office here in town and do bookkeeping for my parent's trucking business. We were crazy enough to pack us all off to Europe for the Y2K holidays where we spent New Year's in Paris. It was an experience of a lifetime! We are so blessed to have 4 awesome kids!

Like I mentioned above, Terri & Chris are raising their family here as well. She also has a son, Walker, who is getting ready to start kindergarten with Rich & Nita Eddy's son, Wayde. I see Colleen Mitchell-Medina quite a bit. She lives up in Reno, doing great, and still singing. She's pregnant and due with a son in August. She also has an 11 year old daughter, Angela, and 3 year old Tessa. Both of whom my kids refer to as cousins.

It was great reading about everyone's lives. If you're ever in town give me a buzz, I'd love to hear from you. I do occasionally run into alumni at the grocery store where it seems that I spend most of my time!

Davis, John - Email: johnd@rocketmail.com

Where do I start? After graduation I joined the Army (3 years) and met my wife, Shari. Her brother was stationed at Ft. Ord. I met her while she was visiting for the summer from West Virginia. We married in 1988 and had our first child, Ashley, in 1989. After the Army we moved back here to WV and I started school, during which we had our second child, Andrew, in 1992. I graduated with my B.S. in Biology in 1995. I've done lots of things since the Army and college. Worked for the National Park Service for 5 years as a Biological Tech, worked at a local college as their graphic designer/computer specialist, and for a computer training company as a certified trainer for Microsoft and Novell (I am an MCSE/MCT and a CNE/CNI). I now work as a Senior Consultant and Trainer for a consulting company. I work mostly on wide area networks and am certified with Cisco Systems doing a lot of cool stuff with IP (voice, video, data...). We have a new addition to the family since my last post: Abigail Ray, 4/17/99. She is the best (aren't they all!). I still work part time for North American River Runners (www.narr.com) as a raft guide (in the blood now and a can't get rid of it) and coach soccer and take the kids skiing as much as I can (wish I could get one of those school passes like we used to!). Shari is still home with the kids. Looked like she was going to start on a degree but Abby has postponed that (no regrets). Getting harder to visit Bishop. Getting 5 from West Virginia isn't easy. We will be there Christmas 2000! I love being able to read about you all. Tell others!!! Please drop me a line. Now that I am getting older I find myself having to look names up in the year books to remember faces :(

Send me mail!

Dinesen, Christian - send a note to the Crazy Dane: cdinesen@yahoo.com

In four years since I updated this piece, things have been quit hectic, great and successful. I have been blessed with success in my company The Danish Coaching Institute, supporting individuals and organisations to unlock their human potential. I got married last summer to Cammilla, my princess and true companion through the last 6 years. We took a big step 5 years ago by moving to another part of Denmark, knowing nobody, and have now managed to build a great life and two successful businesses. The children part has been waiting, though I know we will be blessed with them as well. I was very fortunate to have my host mom Marin Spencer visting in Denmark for the first time, and being able to have her meet my familiy and see my country made the circle complete. It was a very special moment.

I have not been in Bishop for some years now and miss it. The whole landscape and the light in the mornings and evenings rising up behind the mountains. WOW. I have had contact to Eva Waasdrop and Bernard Rottner from time to time. You can reach me on: SKYPE: cdinesen6004 and we can talk for free. Anyone are welcome to call for a nice chat.

I hope you all are doing well, making sure you get the best out of life and live your values. Keep in touch! and Take care

Hansen, Fran (Fran Parra) - E-mail: krkeza@hotmail.com

We're back in Alaska after a year and half of living in Tacoma, WA. During our time in Tacoma, our 6 year old son, Zac, was treated for brain cancer and lost his battle 8 months after his diagnosis. As a result my husband left the Air Force so he could spend more time with our girls Krista, 11yrs. and Kelsie 9 yrs. Steve was offered a job as a civilian Air Traffic Controller at the same Air Force base he was stationed at, when we lived up here before. So here we are back in wonderful, beautiful, COLD, North Pole Alaska! I'm the manager of a video game and computer software store and the girls are back in their old school. It's almost like we never left, except now we live with memories of our time here with our sweet son. I'd love to hear from anyone!

After getting my B.S. in Physics at UC Davis, I was picked up by the Navy. I then spent four years teaching Nuclear Physics at the Navy's Nuclear Power School in Orlando FL. While there, I had the good fortune to meet Jennifer Berry, we married and moved to San Jose. I spent a couple of years doing technical training for Applied Materials, did a couple of years doing web-programming for Netscape, and most recently joined a startup (Phone.com) in Redwood City developing Internet apps for the next-generation cell-phone.

It is so great to see what some of you have been up to. I am now married to Chris Hollowell. We have two wonderful girls. I am "lucky" enough to be able to stay home with them full time. I graduated from the University of San Diego in 89 and worked for a few years before becoming a full time mommy. I would love to hear from you.

It was so cool to find this webpage. I haven't heard some of these names in years. It's great to see what people have been up to and the families they have. I have been married for 12 1/2 years now and have 4 kids. Nicole (my stepdaughter) just turned 15, Valerie (who some of you may remember as a baby) is now 13, Kayla is 10, and my son Tyler is 6. A lot has changed since 1986. I moved in 1988 to Gardnerville and married my husband Rod. He is a local boy who has works at Nevada State Prison as a institutional investigator. He is also a court certified expert in gangs. I work as a nurse for an internal medicine doctor in Carson City. We keep extremely busy shuttleing kids around to all of sports games. We mostly are into girls softball, and of course, little league for my son, and soccer. My husband coach our 10 yr old daughters softball team, and our son's t-ball team. For soccer we are the parents on the sidelines cheering. Life has been good. Hope to hear from some of you. Hope life has treated everyone else well too. Call or write anytime.

Hello All! Well it took me a while but I graduated from Sonoma State University with a BA in Environmental Studies and Urban Planning. After graduating I moved to San Francisco and I have been there ever since. I went to work for a small venture capital firm that invested in tax credits for low income housing. The only problem with working with venture capital is that sometimes the money runs out! So I went to work as a Project Engineer for a Design/Build firm and have been working there for about five years. I'm currently back in school again at UC Berkeley studying Computer Science and actually have a couple of job offers that I'm considering right now. I got back in contact with Amy Buchanan recently and she came to visit me in San Francisco had a great time, it was fun talking about the good ol days back in Bishop when life was so much more simple. Would love to hear how people are doing, you can email me at bernardr@aol.com Best wishes to all.

I work for the National Rifle Association as an Events and PR Manager. I love my job. Washington, DC is very unlike California but it's great. We make it out to California about 3 times a year, but haven't been to Bishop for 2 years. I would love to hear from you fellow Bishopites so e-mail me and let me know if anyone lives in this part of the country.

Hello everyone from California State Prison, Folsom, CA.

I went to school in the Bishop from kindergarten to sophomore in High school and would have graduated with the Class of '86. After moving to the Elk Grove area near Sacramento in 1984, I graduated from Elk Grove High near the top of the class (#8 of 484), tells you how easy big city schools are, says something for little old Bishop High doesn't it. I attended CSU Sacramento, from 86 to 91 where I received a BA in History, concentrating in Military and African history. Upon leaving college I worked around the Sacramento area, in many different fields from groceries and guns to outfitting Police and Fire vehicles. Then someone talked me into going to Prison!!

On the right side of the law, though. I entered service as a Correctional Officer with CDC in 1994 where I was promptly banished to Hell, not quite Ironwood State Prison, outside of Blythe, CA. (Hell is a 20 minute drive west and a ghost town where only the foundations remain.) Average temperature in summer 127 degrees, rainfall 3 inches for the year. Something I was never prepared for, pure heat ( getting off work at 10:30 at night and temp. 109 degrees), Bishop's , 105 for the high never felt so good.

With my wife, Suzanne, who I met while going to CSU Sac., she had the worst time of it ( she grew up in San Francisco) and couldn't stand the heat. She left Blythe in 1995, and moved to Folsom, outside of Sacramento, but stayed married to me, even after the 10 1/2 hour drives home. After 3 1/2 years at Ironwood, I transferred to High Desert State Prison in Susanville, CA.

Ah, the mountains and the cool air, yeah minus 8 degrees in the winter. What a change from the low deserts of CA. All the while the wife is in Folsom, in our new house while I still live out of a suit case in an apartment. At least it was a closer commute, only 3 1/2 hours from home. After 2 1/2 years at one of the most violent Prisons in California ( years 97, 98, 99), I transferred to CSP Sac, known as "New Folsom". Where I currently work Administrative Segregation Unit (Lock Up), and enjoy the 4 mile drive to work, rush hour traffic might take me 6 minutes to get to the parking lot.

With the transfer home came a readjusting to my wife ( hadn't live with her on a daily basis for five years ) and the birth of our son, Nicolas (Sept, 99). Things are kind of hectic now chasing a two year old around, I go to work to unwind.

I get back Bishop every couple of years and try to stay in touch with people. I talk with Judd Symons '86, who runs the ambulance service there in Bishop and is a Captain for the Bishop Fire Dept. I received an invitation to the Class reunion in 1996 but was unable to attend because of work, but hope to see everybody in 2006 for the twentieth. I keep a look out for people either working for or incarcerated by CDC in my travels up and down the State, but haven't run into anybody from Bishop, yet.

Would like to find Carl Seilstad who would have also graduated in 1986 had his family not moved to Green Bank, WV? Judd, if you read this e-mail me, I lost your e-mail address and can never track you down. Bishop will always be home.

It's 2007 and graduated 20 years ago! A lot has changed since my last entry. In the year 2006, I was divorced, married, became father of 3 year old daughter, wife became pregnant, bought a house, started a business, became father of newborn son. How's that for a full year?!

We live in Gardnerville, NV and my wife's name is Tami, believe it or not, a Mammoth cheerleader who graduated in '94. Finally, payback for the Huskies! My daughter's name is Alyssa and my son's name is Coby. We own a heating and air conditioning business that deals with high end homes in Tahoe and doing well.

I'm still in touch with Rusty Ozolins and Bill Allred when he's in the country. Anybody hear about a reunion? Here's my e-mail: mattsmausers@msn.com

My wife Kelly and I have been married for 5 years. We have two children, Ashley is 4 and Justin is 1. Kelly and I met in San Diego while I was going to SDSU. Seven years ago we moved to Seattle. We still haven't gotten used to the rain. Up here they measure the rain in feet, not inches. We try to make it down to California at least once a year to dry out, although I haven't been back to Bishop in a while. I started my own business a couple years ago, Sierra Homes. Kelly stays at home and attempts to keep the kids from tearing the house apart. I'd like to hear from my old BUHS pals.

Well, it's been a long time and much has changed. After going to Humboldt State for 3 semesters, Bishop lured me back to climb the peaks and explore some of the areas that I neglected while in school. I spent some time developing the Owens River Gorge with a number of other locals and I hear it is now a mecca for rock climbers worldwide.

I left Bishop in '93 and moved to Chico to pursue a degree in Computer Science and subsequently became employed by a local software firm. I work in the R&D department writing the next generation of the company's ERP software ( browser based, using Microsoft component technology).

I married a wonderful woman, named Rachel, in the summer of '98. We enjoy traveling and spending time in the mountains east of Chico. No have kids yet, I guess I'm putting that one off for a while.

Other details: I'm an avid cyclist (both road and mountain) and find Chico to be a great place for both. I make it back to Bishop twice a year, though I wish it were more often (the mountain biking is just so good!).

Hi BUHS Friends! This page is great! I'm currently living in Cisco, Texas. I came to Texas after I graduated from high school in 87'. I've been married for over 9 years and I have two boys. Kody is 8 years old and in the 3rd grade, and Kaycee is 4 years old and in preschool. I stay at home with my boys and love every minute of it. My husband, Ronnie owns his own business. He sells new and used cars. Texas is a big change from Bishop but I've learned to accept that this is my home now, with my family. I went to my 10 year reunion last July 97' and had fun. I was really wishing there would be more classmates. I would love to hear from anyone. I really miss talking with friends I went to school with. Hope to hear from some of you! Take care!

Conetto, Andrea (Tordoff) - E-mail: tordoff@humboldt1.com

Hi everybody! It seems as though I've lost track of this web page for some time. Much has changed since my last entry, about two years ago. My husband, Steve, and I bought a house in McKinleyville, CA (Northern California) in December '99. A year after moving into our home, we were blessed the arrival of our daughter, Tenaya. She will be a year old in just over a week. We have become the yuppie family I never dreamed of. We have a dog, Meeko, who isn't so sure of Tenaya, but is starting to get used to her. Parenting has been such a joy. I anticipate each milestone of development and cherish each moment I have with our daughter.

I still work as a Service Coordinator for children with Special Needs and last year Steve changed jobs from watershed management to timber harvest plans. At least he gets to have some say in how many trees get cut! We both enjoy our jobs, but I wish I could be home with Tenaya. Maybe some day....

My parents still live in Bishop, although we only get to Bishop every other year for Christmas. It is quite the trek (11 -13 hours) for us drive home. One would not be so crazy as to traveling with a baby this many hours by car!

Well, I hope all is going well for my friends from Bishop High! I hope you all have a wonderful Holiday Season and if you feel like catching up with me, please e-mail me at: >tordoff@humboldt1.com

Wow, what a great page! I never knew this existed until my brother told me about it. After graduating from BUHS, I moved down the road to Ridgecrest. I kind of got stuck in a rut working on the Navy base for 12 years doing a variety of data management jobs. I did manage to get my Associate Degree at Cerro Coso and that was an accomplishment since I was working full time while I did it. But now I am living in Denver, CO and going to school to become a Veterinary Technician. I love school, but it is very challenging. I'm almost done with my 4th quarter then I will have 2 more to go and I will graduate in December 2000. In September 2000, I will start my 3 month internship at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital, which for those of you who watch Emergency Vets on Animal Planet, that is the same hospital. Colorado is OK, but I came out here just for school and I plan on moving back to California after I graduate. I wish I had known about the 10 year reunion. I never even knew about it until the following year when I was in Bishop and went in to BBQ Bill's for the best BBQ sandwich ever and ran into Todd Oney and he told me about it. Maybe there will be a 15 year one coming up?? I'm still looking for Mr. Right, but I'm mom to my dog, Mara, a Chow/Wheaton Terrier mix I adopted from the animal shelter. I certainly would love to hear from any classmates. I'll keep an eye on this page for updates and hopefully more and more people will be added. Take care. GO BRONCOS!!

Well hello all who may look at this page!!!

First of all I can honestly say I am enjoing most of my life right now. I am a mother of 5 great children. I have a 14yr daughter Mariah (graduating 8th grade), 12yr old son Torin (6th grade), 10yr old son Bryce (4th grade), 8yr old son Grant (3rd grade), and my youngest son Quinn 7yrs old (1st grade)----- all the older kids refer to him as the SPOILED ONE!!!!! If you look hard at all their ages you see a trend--- You guessed it!! That dang TV kept braking down about every other year*_*

That great bunch of kids was created with the help of my husband of 16 yrs Tony. Tony is a Sgt. with the Dept. of Corrections and I've been a full time mom till last year when I started work for a Physical Therapist office here in our home town of 5 yrs in Susanville, California. Next year I should start the academy for Corrections--As long as Arnold is able to clean up our darned budget crisis in California otherwise I will stay as I am--BUSY at everything else!!!

In addition to working out of the home I have enjoied (or endured) being on our lassen football, softball boards. I belong to our local Cattle womens group here in Susanville and I help out with my children's 4H group as Poultry leader (I am deathly afraid of birds). Basically if my children participate I become that groups volunteer!!!

For my health and sanity I squeeze in playing on a womens and coed softball team in the spring, a womens basketball team in the fall and fishing, horseback riding, and coaching (basketball, softball) in between everything else!!

I get to go back to Bishop about once a year. My dad and 2 sisters still live in the area. My only Bishop contact is one of my best friends here in Susanville--Tami (Cooley) Nunn. Our daughters and oldest sons are also close friends.

One more important thing I need to know if you know the where abouts of Melanie Bryan let me know or give her my information. I would really like to find her!!!

Well guys take care and and contact me if you get time. I can always squeeze talking to someone in anywhere--- except during (my) ball games I will gladly call you back after I finish playing--- yes I am still competitive a girl has to keep at least one bad vice in her life(*_*)

See Ya;

Hello everybody!
After high school I moved to San Diego to attend junior college, but it turned out to be more of a party than anything else. My grades were just good enough to get me into UC Santa Barbara were I finished my education. After six years of school I decided to move to Mammoth for a winter. It turned out to be a very long winter, about 7 years long. I became the typical ski bum. I bartended at night and was a ski guide by day. I currently still live in Mammoth but now have a "real" job in Reno. I now am a firefighter for the city of reno. I spend my days off here in mammoth. I just sat here for ten minutes wondering what to say
to people from a time so far, far away.
I figure I'll do best by a short, run-on thought
that might interest someone--or not.

My wife and I have a four year-old son whose hair is brown but she says it's red and we currently live in northern Nevada and most of her family lives within a mile from us but they're pretty cool, in general and the skiing ROCKS this year and I almost died at Kwoods but my friend ended up breaking his leg instead and I see Bryan Buchanan when we get the chance but not lately because he's in that 'other' state and Rowbottom's sis' Leslie works around the corner and the wife and I both have cool jobs and I love mine almost as much as my son, wife, skiing, fishin', hikin' around, boatin', and blastin' dirt on the XRsix-fity.

Here's hoping your life turned out the way you wanted it. Mine didn't--it's better than that. The lovely missus and I share '88 as year o grad, so we went to her ten @ the Legacy. She's Reno High people. I'll be at our 20 with Bryan and his wife and kids. Best to ya.

Hello fellow Broncos!

It's great to read all about our interesting lives since the daze of BUHS. Hard to believe it's been so long!

I finally left San Diego, and for good reason!

I recently married Shawn Davis, class of 1984, giving me the new name of Christi Davis. We were married in a beautiful meadow at the base of Table Mountain, just outside of town. We honeymooned at the Double Eagle in June Lake. Let me just say that it is a beautiful place! For those of you looking for some R&R, check it out!

Shawn and I live in the Bay Area along with his daughter Madison. Shawn works for JDSUniphase as a mechanical engineer and I work for Child Development Inc. I oversee compliance in our child care centers state-wide. We have about 150+ child care centers throughout California. I love my work!

We spend our free time on the mountain bikes, at the beach in Santa Cruz, and at the motorcycle track!

I am still a devoted Parrothead, and spend much of my free time singing along to Jimmy Buffett.

I would love to hear from each and every one of you!!!

I'm still working in the medical field, but I now work for a Family Practitioner, which means I have to gives shots to babies. No that does not mean overgrown men, I mean I give shots to infants. Yikes, I hate being the bad guy!! I'm still living in the San Jose area with my wonderful husband of almost 6 years, Paul. Our goofy, fun-loving child is now 3 1/2, and he keeps me laughing every day. Watch for his name, he could be the next Gretzky Even though he's only 3 1/2 he had a wicked slapshot! I plan on going back to school to become a Physician's Asst., everyone wish me luck. When I go is uncertain, maybe when HMO's have been eliminated, again people wish me luck! It was great to see everyone at the reunion, I would love to hear from anyone. I would also love to hear from people that didn't make it (Ann Jeff, Dena Agee, Glen Crimm, Stacey Smalley, Sam Martin etc..). Take care!

We have an addition to the family, a lovely little girl named Clarissa Marie. She was born in April and is doing quite well.

We moved from Omaha to Missouri in June of 2001. Now we are at Fort Leonard Wood. There is a small Air Force detachment here that my husband has been assigned to. I am still working in the dialysis field. Alyssa is now 12 and JJ is 5. We bought a house out in the country and are enjoying a slower paced community. The kids and the animals seem to keep homelife pretty interesting though.

What a cool site this is! We’ll I went to school with all of you from 2nd grade and moved away suddenly mid way through our sophomore year. After that I went to 3 different high schools in the Los Angeles area. Anyways, I ended up getting a job as a film and video editor in Hollywood. I’ve been doing this for 16 years now. I’ve edited movie trailers, commercials, TV show promos, music videos and a cable TV show. It’s a pretty interesting job. I have my own business now but I’m my only employee. I used to get up to Mammoth to snow board and mountain bike a lot but now I go to Twain Harte to enjoy all my outdoor sports. We now live in Burbank, CA sometimes and Twain Harte, CA sometimes (near Sonora). I’m trying to finally get out of the city permenatly and live in Twain Harte where we love it! I’ve been married to my incredible wife for almost 9 years and have 2 beautiful children, a boy 8 and a girl 5, future snow boarders of America. My sons already pretty good and I’m working on my daughter. Its pretty awesome being a dad. I’m still boarding, biking, fishing and hiking the Sierra’s.

What an incredible place Bishop was to grow up! Growing up in Bishop makes us all pretty unique. Schools these days don’t have 6th grade camp or the trip to San Diego we took in 6th grade or trips to Mammoth to ski or other of numerous field trips we all took.

I went to a wedding in Bishop about 10 years ago. Wow, somethings just don’t change. I ran into Carson Holmes about 15 years ago in Los Angeles, but then lost his phone number. Chris Knapp just emailed me back. Other than that I haven’t spoken to anyone else from our class. I hope everyone is doing well. I can’t believe this many years have gone by. I’d love to hear from anyone of you and go to the next reunion. My phone number is 213-716-6965.

Best wishes,

Well, time for an update. I live Portland, OR and absolutely love the Pacific Northwest. Since my last posting I've gotten married (Michele DeWeese, BUHS Class of '89), purchased a home and changed places of employment. I still work in the electronic security industry but now spend all my time working with digital video and card access products. Much more staring at a monitor and programming and much less field work and wiring. I haven't decided if this is a good thing or a bad thing, time will tell. Michele and I seldom get back to Bishop as neither of us has any family there. We did return for Lori Gustafson's (now Robles) wedding and it was fun trip but a little strange. I guess you can never go home again. I still speak with Chris Knapp, Jared Mitchell, and most recently Ken Thacker and Jennifer Oglesby (what a great surprise that was). Anyway, take care everyone and please drop me a line if you get a chance.

Knapp, Chris - E-mail: cjk@bruker-biospin.com

Hey everybody,
I was just shown this site recently and I wanted to add my story to it like all the other cool kids. I have been living in Reno since late 1989. I moved up here to go to school. I went to college for about three years but dropped out, school was never my thing. I got A job working for A sign company in 1992 and worked there for eleven years. Six of those years I painted signs and the last five I was A glass blower making the neon for the signs. In 1995 A girl started to work with me at the sign shop and it only took me A year to convince her that she should marry me. So in 1996 we got married in Reno. We still don't have any kids but we've got two dogs and two cats. In Oct. 2003 I took A chance and changed jobs. I now work for A company called Bruker- Biospin. My company makes MRI instruments and NMR instuments. I install the NMR instuments. In case you were wondering NMR is nuclear magnetic resonance. Yes I know what the heck is that? They are large superconducting magnets used by pharmaceutical companies to develop and improve on prescription drugs. My region is the west coast so I'm travelling every week. I'm really enjoying it and never thought that that this is what I'd be doing. In Jan. 2004 my company sent me to Switzerland for three weeks of training. My wife and I had A wonderful time and met some great people. I still keep in regular contact with Jared Mitchell, Tim McGrath, Glenn Crim, Pat Higle, Ryan Miller, and Neal Jarvis. I know I'm forgetting someone. I had A really great time at the reunion and can't wait for the next one. If anyone wants to contact me you can e-mail me at cjk@bruker-biospin.com or call me 978-761-9128 (work cellphone). Hope to here or see some people soon.

Best Regards, Chris Knapp

I can remember having a summer swimming party at my house and Sam being hilarious while we were watching 'Good Morning Vietnam'! hmm that was a fun day that many of you came to! Anyway... After graduation I moved to Carson City to attend WNCC and can recall my mother telling me not to come home with a 27 year old man! Well instead I got home sick and moved back home and met a 27 year old there!! haha I didn't do what she told me not to. I actually got to marry the man that I would drool over when seeing him drive for the business he was working for when me and the girls (Ann Jeff, Ginelle Prange, Penni Davis and others) would walk to giggle springs for lunch! Well, I have often thought of my time in Bishop,CA and the friends and things I left behind when I moved after our Freshman year! It was hard to leave after going to school with everyone since 1st grade! My family moved (several times in) to Texas and I had to go to 2 different high schools. (what an adventure!) I went to college, but still haven't graduated, although my husband and my daughter think I should go back...sometimes raising a family seems more than fulfilling! =) I now have 3 beautiful children, 1 girl, 2 boys, a loving hisband and a cat. We live in Texas, near Dallas but are soon going to relocate to Austin, TX this summer. I work as a pre-school teacher for 3yr olds, but am still home in the afternoon for my kids. I would love to hear from former classmates, so drop me a line!

Since the military keeps me moving, I figured I should update my bio before I disappear off the face of the Earth like Sam Martin has (if you read this Sam, Carolyn and I have only been trying to find you for the last 13 years and I know you have e-mail you freak!). Anyway, I have decided to stay Navy because war is the only industry that is certain to be here for the next few years and I like the free coffee. Actually, I really enjoy what I do and wouldn't want to be doing anything else. I spent 6 years as an enlisted on the USS Edenton, got picked up for a commissioning program, finished my degree at Norfolk State University (appropriately called a BS degree) and recieved my commission as an officer in '96. I just finished my first operational tour as a Naval Aviator flying E-6 TACAMO's out of Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City where we lived for 4 years. Carolyn and I are now in Jacksonville, FL at the Naval Air Station where I fly C-12's shuttling high brass dignitaries up and down the East coast, establishing my connections for my future as a politician or possibly a mime. Carolyn stays at home with our two boys, Jimmy 4, and Jackson 2, who keep us on our toes every minute of the day. We should be here a couple of years (until 2004) unless the Navy decides they want me to do something else. Nice to hear from Glenn Crim, Pat Higle and Kristi Kassen (Warren). Take care all.

I am not sure that anyone remembers me, as I only attended BUHS for one year. You would most likely remember me as Glen Crimm's twin. At any rate, I am now working for Sun Microsystems as an instructor. I am currently living in Dallas, TX (a little too hot and humid for my taste). Overall, not too bad a place to live, except there are no mountains to look at when I walk out my front door. :-)

I am hoping to transfer to Denver, CO soon. There I hope to settle. It would be interesting to hear from anyone in the class of '88 or '89 as those are the people that I am most familiar with. Drop an email if you would like to. It would be great to hear from some of my high school friends.

Hey everyone. Time for an update here. I have been working full time for the Bishop Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau for 4 years. I can't say enough about what it has been like running the Visitor Center here. Sure helped me in not taking Bishop for granted, and most definitely kept me busy. Nice thing about it, it does have a social element....it's been fun and challenging.

But, the time has come for me to break out of my "Bishop Bubble" once again. My last day on the job here will be Friday, June 2nd. A little over a week away. I will be selling most all my stuff, packing my boyfriend's Jeep and meeting up with him in two weeks in Houston. We will spend a month in Houston, then move on to Louisiana, then on to Wyoming. At least that's the way the plan stands now. He is a contract Helicopter Pilot, and we will live on-site to the jobs he is working.

I am stoked about taking off on this adventure. It's a bit scary, but I really can't think of any reasons not to do it. It will be the Paula, Keith, Zoey road show. Zoey being the 3 legged dog wonder of mine. She's going on 5, and has survived it all, this should be nothing to her.

Until I get set up with a laptop on the road, I will be email-less. Shouldn't be to long though, I'll post it when I get it. Everyone have fun, hopefully as much fun as I'm having, and let's keep this site going, I love it!

Just thought I'd let anyone who was interested know where I am. I'm not a Rothrock anymore but a Bratcher, for over four years now. We are expecting our first child in Nov '99. I received my BS in Agribusiness from Reno, NV in 1993 then was commissioned into the Army as an Engineer Officer of all things. I met and married my husband while on active duty at Ft. Lewis, WA. Since then I've been to Hawaii, Japan, El Salvador and now Washington DC.

Brown, Bill (Villa) - E-mail: bbrown@terraspring.com

People would know me as Bill Villa, but my last name is now Brown. Long story, but Brown has always been my legal name. A lot has happened since my days at BUHS. I went on to San Jose State, where I majored in Advertising and played baseball for them for one season. I went on to start a career a few years later, paused and played a season of minor league baseball for an A level farm team under the Texas Rangers organization as their starting pitcher. A shoulder injury ended my big league aspirations, but prompted me to accelerate a career in sales in the Silicon Valley.

I now live outside Philadelphia, PA, married, and have a year old daughter! I am in charge of sales in the northeast for my California based company, travel a bit, had a narrow miss from the September 11 tragedy in New York, and continue striving for weekends at the "Jersey shore" and keeping in touch with friends abroad.

I had to miss our 10yr reunion at the last minute due to a few things out of my control, so I missed the opportunity to catch up with you all then. If you would like to catch up, the best way to reach me is either cell phone 484-919-3178 or email (address above). Remember I'm in the Eastern time zone so don't call me too late...I hope to talk to you soon as I've seen some interesting postings here and know there's much more to hear about you too! Stay safe and take it easy - Bill

I would of been class of '89 if I had stayed in Bishop, but instead I moved to So. Cal in 1989, so that I could keep out of trouble and finish school. I had some wild times in Bishop with my wild friends there, Tina Burson, Yolanda Ramirez, (still my best friend), Shannon Kinney, Christi Clark, and all the rest of that crazy bunch. I have not heard from anybody, except Yolanda, for years now, but still remember everybody and Bishop very fondly. I would love to hear from anybody, so please e-mail me.

Well, I am 30 now, (yikes). That seemed so old to me in high school. I have no children and don't plan on any at this time. I have two dogs, Spike and Jude, and they keep me plenty busy. I am living in Roseville, CA, which is a suburb of Sacramento. Looking over this page, I cannot believe how many Bishop folk are in this area. I live here with my wonderful fiance, David, who is a computer programmer with an energy co. We are to be married this Apr., we are very happy and in loooove! I own and operate a deli and small catering co. here with my little sister Joy. If you ever need a caterer or great sandwich in the Sac. area, look up Saucy Sisters kitchen and catering. Besides that, I am in the process of publishing a book of poetry. All is well.

Yolanda Ramirez is in Stockton Ca., married with two children, and still funny as ever. Tina Burson or Shannon Kinney, if you read this please get in touch with me. I miss you girls. I am planning on bringing David to Bishop soon and would love to see you.

After leaving Bishop in '89, I finished school in So. Cal and then moved to Seattle to attend Culinary school. I loved it there, but finally moved back to Ca. to live with Shaun Whitman, who was Yolanda's stepbrother and attended B.U.H.S. very briefly. We stayed together for seven very rocky years, but good did come from it, because after I grew up some, I met my wonderful, amazing husband to be and we've been together six years now.

I will always have wonderful memories of Bishop and friends from the past. Would love to hear from anyone! Best of luck to you all.

Crim, Michele (DeWeese) - E-mail: michele@crimdom.net

Hi everyone! I went to college in North Dakota (brrrrrr)....wanted to be an astronaut....learned to fly.....got bored....so decided to study rocks--much more exciting, right? I got my B.S. in Environmental Geology and Space Studies (still can't let go of that whole astronaut thing), worked at a nuclear reservation in WA State, got my M.S. in Environmental Science at Washington State University. My first "big" job was doing environmental compliance work for a large factory (Panasonic) that makes those nifty TVs with the VCRs built into the bottom--have yet to figure out what this job had to do with studying rocks! I then became the "Sustainability Coordinator" for Portland State University trying to help them operate in more environmentally and economically preferable ways. A dream job for me. I now work for the City of Portland's "Office of Sustainable Development" doing similar work and promoting things like biodiesel.

In between there I have hiked the Grand Canyon, got my pilots license, got my nose pierced in Fiji, took the earring out of my nose so that I could get a 'real job', got my skydiving license, went to Australia, and became the proud parent of two Border Collies and a Great Dane. I am currently blissfully happy living in Portland, OR, with my husband Glenn Crim (BUHS Class of '88). That about sums it up! I would love to hear from you all! I keep in touch with Bea Beyer (formerly Ladinig) and several folks from the Class of 88 and 90, but not many folks from 89.

Hello fellow graduates and schoolmates! What an amazing resource to follow up on the friends I made during high school, including those who graduated before or after me. Thanks for giving me a peek at your journey. In return, I'll try to be brief about my life story after high school (as difficult as that can be!)

Sometime after High School, between working, moving around, and settling down, I was graduating from UC Riverside with a B.A. in English and considering plans for law school. Instead, I was bit by the computer bug and changed my plans.

I currently live in Fresno, California with my 8 year old daughter. I am the Information Technology Manager (which roughly translated means "responsible for solving computer glitches, installing software/hardware, developing web site, and managing new projects" (you can see the web site I designed at http://www.americanambulance.com).

I'd love to hear from you, find out more about your lives, or fill in the blanks about mine! Send me an e-mail.

Hi everyone!!

Hi there!! Isn't this website great!! I have had so many people find me through this site. Well, I am still out here in good'ol Winnemucca, Nevada. My life really isn't exciting, I am a stay at home mom. I have a daughter and a son. I am married to a really great guy, his name is Bob. I make it back to Bishop about 4 or 5 times a year. My mom still lives there and has the beauty shop across the street from the library "Backstreet Parlor". I sure would like to hear from anyone who remembers me or has been wondering whatever happened to me or my twin sister Christy or any of my other sisters(Julie, Karey or Sarah).

I guess it has been a while since I had made contact with my fellow alumni. I am currently living in Ridgecrest, CA. and have since graduated with an AA in General Education. I am enrolling at CSUB to get a BA in Liberal Studies and then on to a 1 year teaching credential so I can possibly teach jr. high algebra (who would have thought that???)Anyway, my e-mail is tedhigle@yahoo.com if anyone would like to chat...

Hello class of 89. Well I am still in Carson City NV and I am currently a Deputy with Carson City Sheriff's Department. I know, who would have thought me a cop. I am assigned to the patrol division and specialize in, street gangs. I am currently married and have been for 6 years. My wife Dana gave birth to triplet boys in 2003. That's right triplets. So between my 3 monkeys and work I am always busy. It seems that the only time I can relax is when I get a chance to go hunting or fishing. The only time I am in Bishop is when I pass through en rout to my in-laws in Southern CA or on my way to another car show with my father. I'm not sure who has not jumped ship yet so I just pass through.

Please feel free to contact me anytime either via e-mail hv2hunt@charter.net or at the office. (775) 887-2020 ext. 5325

Hi everyone! I was an AFS exchange student from Japan and graduated from BUHS with a class of 89. I'm not sure how many people would recognize me, since I didn't speak English very well at that time. Although I only spent one year in Bishop, I still remember the day clearly and I feel like Bishop is another hometown of mine. Yes, I really really had a great time in Bishop back then!! That's why I was soooo excited to find this website.

Well let me tell you about a little bit of my life after Bishop. After I went back to Japan, I finished my high school and went to catholic womens college in Tokyo. In my sophomore year, 1991-92, I became an exchange student again and studied at Benedictine College in the state of Kansas for one year. I got a chance to visit Bishop during the Easter break and I reunited with some friends and teachers! Wow, it is even a decade ago!! I went to the graduate school in my hometown, Sendai, a biggest city in northern part of Japan, and got M.A. in American Studies. I had been teaching English to high school and junior high school kids until 2000 and then I moved to Thailand! It must be at the other side of Pacific? I am currently studying at the graduate school of Chulalongkorn University for my second M.A. and will hopefully finish the course on Oct of 2002. I will do my internship at a regional office of UN in Bangkok, but I don't know what is coming after that. I just hope I can get some job somewhere!

Well, it seems like most people have already got their own family, while I'm still single and even a student!! But I guess I enjoy my life in amazing Thailand! I will be happy if I can hear from any of you, since I've lost almost all the contact -I still keep in touch with Laura Eardtman (Wylie), a class of 90. Plus, if you ever come to Thailand or around this region, please let me know!

This is a cool extension of the cyber-age. Keep using and buying computers, it keeps me employed. Well to give a brief description of events since graduation it goes like this. I moved to Florida for year and became an electrician. I changed pathes and became an engineer for the army and lived in Missouri, Korea and Lousiana. I took some time to regroup after the millitary and then got a BS in mechanical engineering from CSU, Chico. Currently I am married, live in Roseville CA, work as an equipment engineer for NEC Electronics and have my first child on the way. I keep in touch with John Hall and see some old classmates from time to time in Bishop when I am there. 11/13/00

How exciting to stumble across this web page - Go Bishop High! Thumbing down through the 80's and 90's it's amazing to learn about what people are doing professionally and personally. Congratulations to everyone on your successes, weddings, children, etc. It is crazy to think that in less than a year the class of '89 will be having our ten year reunion. Wow, time flies!

For me, the last few years have been filled with adventure and worldly wanderings. As a graduate student in development studies I have had the opportunity to live and work in the Middle East, Central and South America. I am currently conducting independent research on a Peruvian Government fellowship here in Lima, Peru. In September, I'll return to the US to finish-up my graduate studies and begin searching, once again, for a real job. I am still single, childless, and petless - but happy in spite of it all.

I would love to chat with anyone who has a moment to write. The best way to catch me is via email, which is: mcalist@ksg.harvard.edu

Take care and many, many cheers, Carrie McAlister

McGuire, Mike and Yoshimi - E-mail: mikeyoshimi@adelphia.net

I would have been class of 89 but left and finished school in Pico Rivera (L.A.) during my senior year. Upon leaving high school I joined the Air Force. I spent one year in school and three years in Alaska. I became a welder machinist. After leaving the Air Force I spent five years in San Diego working in the aerospace industry. In 99 I moved to Orange County where I met my wife Yoshimi (from Japan). We’ve lived in Buena Park for the past five years. I worked for Saleen as a race car builder and I am currently working as a heavy equipment mechanic for local 12. These days I snowboard, play drums in a band, and wrench on my 69 camaro. In high school I was kind of low profile the friends I did have were really cool people like April Johnson, Fritz Sextant, Loran Prang, Brett Unterseyer. If anyone knows where these friends are at e-mail me at mikeyoshimi@adelphia.net service.

Finally got a computer again and couldn't help looking up BUHS. Weren't those the good old days! Oh for a tire fire party!! Remember coming home with your face all black and telling your mother you were at a friend's studying? Anyway everything has changed since the last time I updated my info. Actually nothing has really changed. I'm still an R.N. , I'm still single (thank God), still barren (thanks be to God), still roaming the Earth looking for the meaning of it all. I'm currently living in Hawaii, on the island of Oahu, on the North Shore, (surfing paradise), and doing nursing contracts. I still love to sing more than anything,...just not in front of people. Thank God all my talent is not wasted. He hears our every cry, moan and wail. I prefer wailing myself. Anyway, my e-mail address is aschat02@yahoo.com and my cell is (808) 366-1022. Hope and pray all is well with each and every one of you and don't hesitate to call if you're having some sort of breakdown and need to get away from it all. I have just the place and always an extra room.
Peace, angel

It's great to find out what everyone has been up to and all their accomplishments. I didn't graduate from BUHS I left in the middle of my sophomore year and moved to Lancaster, CA. I was sad to leave having lived in Bishop for five years. But at the same time I'm glad I moved because I met my wife Barbara in Lancaster. We have 2 kids and live about 45 minutes outside of San Francisco. I currently work as a web designer in the IT department at Safeway, Inc. in Walnut Creek, Ca. It's a great job and I really enjoy the Bay area.

If you have a spare minute or two (who does right?) you can view my latest web/art work at www.jsnoderly.com

I hope that everyone is doing well and it would be great to hear from you.

I have lived other places, but something always happend (for example the house I was living in was torn down) and back home I've come.

I'm trying to get my life back on track. I've been working at Bishop Creek Lodge (totally love it there) but will be out of a job when the close for the season ( hey anyone know of a job out there? *grin*)

Take care you all

Well, are first class reunion has come and gone. It amazes me sometimes how fast time flies by and how fast the hair line recedes. Well I still live in Tehachapi. I work for General Dynamics Communications Systems, at Edwards Air Force Base, as Senior Systems Engineer. Things are going great. My parents have moved to Montana, so I don't spend much time in Bishop anymore. But when I'm there I try and keep an eye out for any familiar faces. I go on at least one big game hunt in the winter and at least one summer vacation. This year its Jamaica. Well I hope to see you all in 2009.

Hi everyone!!! Well we are doing great and are currently living in Reno NV. We have been married since Aug 92 and have two beautiful children (a girl and a boy), Alexa 4 and Taylor 2. They are the joy, and sometimes not so joy, of our lives. Jason is working for Frito Lay and I quite my job when Alexa was 1 to stay home, make Taylor and raise the kiddos!!! I also do daycare in our home and have been fortunate enough to get some really good kids!! Great choice for us! Last year for Vacation we went to Hawaii for two weeks- kid free, Yippeee!!! Other than our honeymoon in Florida and the Bahamas that concludes our worldly travels. We still get to Bishop every now and then and have kept in touch with a few class mates.

Lets see: Jason Phillips and Lisa (Honstein) (not sure on the spelling) live in Reno also, oh ya and they got married too and have a son J.T.! , Matt Tate also lives in Reno and got married last year and is expecting a child soon. Joe Kennedy and his wife of 5 years are living in Idaho with their two boys. Joe is still Joe, crazy and reckless, only now it's on water instead of land!!!! Debbie Hart now Brautigam is living in Las Vegas. Christy Rawlings now Widler is back at the ranch in Bishop and is also expecting a child soon. Marci Reagan now Humes (1990 graduate) is living in Reno with her husband and are both teachers. We talked to Mikey Moberly a while ago via e-mail and have lost touch since then- Hey Mikey where did you go? I saw Tina Burson a few weeks ago in Bishop and she just had a beautiful little girl. Renelle Belec and Chris Keesler finally tied the knot and also had a baby girl, the same time Tina did!!! Tina said they passed in the hallway.

Well that sums up just about everything. Our e-mail address is jasdeb@intercomm.com. Looking forward to hearing from some fellow classmates so please write.

Hello Everyone,

I was an AFS Student from England at BUHS during 1988 and 89'. It all seems so long ago now so it was great to stumble across this website page and see what a few of you have been doing over the years.

After leaving California I retuured to the UK and attended college. I studied business and administration but my first job was working in a hotel in London where I stayed for a couple of years. I then moved back home for a while and saved enough money to go travelling. I travelled by myself for 6 months through South East Asia and then spent a year in Australia where I worked doing odd jobs and generally just having fun. After that I returned to London and worked in the Tourism Department of the Indonesia Embassy in London. After that I went to work at Arthur Andersen. I then spent a year in the Middle East working in Dubai and returned to London again last year. I am now working for a firm called Russell Reynolds, who are a Head Hunters. We recruit Executives in Investment Banking.

So, I guess that is my life story to date. I am not married yet and no kids. I have just brought my first flat in London which has been consuming much of my time (and money) doing it all up. I also have a cat, which I rescued from Dubai and brought home with me.

It would be great to hear from anyone who remembers me, so do please get in touch.

Hello everybody! Well I'm still in the Air Force and currently living Great Falls, Montana. I've been living in Montana now for 6 years. After graduation my first station was Athens Greece, I was there for about a year then moved to Spangdalem Germany. I left Germany in July of 92 and have been living in Montana ever sense, with the exception of two trips to Saudi Arabia for 4 months each.

I would really like to hear from anyone, so give me a call or send me some mail!!
